Deze tentoonstelling, gecureerd door Christa Vyvey, is de vrucht van verschillende ontmoetingen: die van drie Belgische kunstenaars (Renato Nicolodi, Nick Ervinck enSofie Muller) met de collecties van het Museum Fenaille; die van oude kunst en hedendaagse kunst; die van het verleden met het heden. Deze confrontatie geeft aanleiding tot een dialoog die de notie van moderniteit, de aard van de geconserveerde voorwerpen en de evocatieve kracht van de overblijfselen in vraag stelt.
This exhibition, curated by Christa Vyvey, is the result of several encounters: that of three Belgian artists (Renato Nicolodi, Nick Ervinck andSofie Muller) with the collections of the Museum Fenaille; that of ancient art and contemporary art; that of the past with the present. This confrontation gives rise to a dialogue that questions the notion of modernity, the nature of the preserved objects and the evocative power of the remains.
